Solar Thermal Financing

Solar Thermal installations are simpler and less expensive than Solar PV systems. Solar Thermal technology is mature and has been used in many parts of the world for decades. A typical residential Solar Thermal system is comprised of rooftop solar collectors, a storage tank in a garage or utility room, a pump that circulates the water between the collectors and the tank, and an automatic control unit that turns the pump on and off depending on the water temperature.

In many states in the U.S., and depending on the source of electricity of the conventional water heaters it replaces, Solar Thermal systems offer significant energy cost savings to residential and commercial clients. Solar Thermal installations qualify for the same type of federal tax credit as Solar PV systems. Additionally, there's a growing number of state, municipality, and utility-level rebates and subsidies for installing Solar Thermal systems.
